Definition
A Google Search feature that shows an AI-written summary above the search results, with links to the sources it was built from.
Why it matters
They appear above the search results and may answer the query before the user opens any link, so appearing as a source inside the summary has become a goal in itself.
What to do
- Write content that answers directly and is clearly organized.
- Make sure your pages are indexable and not blocked from Google.
